The Deadly Duo # 1

Our first podcast features quite a few Shibuya-kei artists. It's a genre that I've grown to love over the last decade, but still know very little about. Over the years I've become frustrated with my language barrier because it's restricted me from finding out more about the scene, and the more obscure & lesser known bands involved in it.

Initially I was going to split up this show up into 2 segments (which is our plan for most of the shows) but our songs seemed to stack up nicely together.

  1. I saw ICU live for that tour! They were in the middle of changing the spelling of their name at the time. Sooo good - and friendly!

  2. Hey me too! At the Roche Motel in Pocatello, ID. Aaron Hartman, he of Old Time Relijun, was still rocking the upright bass for that show.

  3. Nice podcast! If possible, could you include timestamps to the tracklist? This would make it easier to see who I'm listening to when a song really interests me. Thanks!

  4. Thanks! Yeah, I'm already drafting up the timestamps for this as I've had a couple people email me asking questions about the songs. Will get them up by the end of the day.
